The Bracelets 1.0 are the first pieces of concept jewellery I’ve ever made. Created from old & broken jewellery collected from family & friends, jewellery spacers bought from a charity store and pieces of scrap Horween Chrome XL leather from a shoe factory in Northampton. Resulting in an eye catching, artisanal design reflecting the brand identity of XEN.
Each piece is unique in the colour of leather and waxed thread used to put them together. Pop buttons are used to close the bracelet with three different adjustments for different sized wrists.
These pieces are an experiments and showcase the first steps I’ve taken into making sustainable jewellery. Crafted from carefully sourced reclaimed materials, each piece is individually made by hand, embracing the natural character and history of the materials. As expected from XEN no two are identical, making every object a one-of-one expression of craftsmanship, sustainability, and considered design. Created to be used, appreciated, and to age beautifully over time.
