Each piece is made from one cut of Kudu (African Antelope) leather, more specifically the spine on the skin.
I chose this part of the leather as it’s normally thrown away when used for footwear and other products, due to the spine having the most scratches and marks. However I think these sections have the most character, making them look and feel unique.
On the back one ‘X’ stitch holds the piece together and an eye let has been added for the pice of yellow cord to be attached to. Keeping the card holder looking traditional whilst providing the function of it being looped around anything, a keychain, a belt loop etc. A pop button secures the card and is the closure.
These cardholders can hold 6 cards inside comfortably with another sitting in the quick access slot on the back.
