The inspiration behind this piece came to me when I wanted to carry my laptop and iPad at the same time when travelling. A 15 inch laptop fits horizontally alongside a 13 inch laptop vertically.
Originally this was a leather tote bag it was then deconstructed, turned inside out, the panels were re shaped and repurposed. Before the embellishments could be added.
The front features an extra wide pocket, with the XEN tag hand drawn onto grey suede and then heavily sewn over onto the pocket. There are 10 silver insect embellishments hand sewn around the logo. A D ring and a clip were looped over leather and also sewn onto the pocket and at the top of the panel 3 star rivets have been screwed in.
The back features a squared zip pocket and a sleeve pocket behind. Another silver clip has been looped around leather and sewn onto beside the pocket. The interior is lined with silk featuring an old pattern.
The top of the bag is finished with water resistant zipper, two handles and a the original strap was kept alongside the small D rings they are attached to.
