‘Carry-On’ is a detailed canvas piece created from the scraps from the ‘Military Collection’ consisting of 15 different fabrics applied by a mix of hand sewing and machine.
Stand out details include the shotgun shell holder re-purposed as lighter holder, the leather panels hand stitched on to create the natural looking creases in the fabric, the empty bullet shell, and the rope seen going around the canvas and used to hang it on a wall.
This is my first canvas piece using fabrics in the same way I do with garments and bringing them same details and execution to canvas.
Every piece from the ‘Military Collection’ is a 1of1 art piece, up-cycled and brought to a couture standard whilst keeping its history. XEN
